The Book of Mormon

On Facebook there was a Book of Mormon challenge going around and a friend tagged me in it. I was grateful for the opportunity to reflect on The Book of Mormon and what a blessing it has been in my life. The following is my post from facebook:

#BookofMormonChallenge
I was challenged by Emi Doncheva so here it goes.
1: Post a picture of you holding a copy of the Book of Mormon. 2: Share your favorite verse & tell us why. 3: challenge three or more friends. 4 include the instructions...
Helaman 5:12
And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.
I love this scripture because it tells us that hard times will come! It prepares us for those times but then offers a way to come out on top. With all of the crazy crime and hardships happening all around us, it is reassuring to know that if our foundation is in Christ, we will not fail.

Also, this pic was taken by Brit Mann a few weeks before I went into the MTC! (which is 4 YEARS from tomorrow!)

I am grateful for our faith and for the resources that Heavenly Father has blessed us with to guide us back to Him. I hope to be better at treasuring and cherishing this blessed book. I am grateful for it and I know that it is the word of God. The gospel has shaped our new little family and I love that my husband loves it like I do.
